Allison & Josh: Napatree Point Engagement

One of our favorite spots for sunset photos in Southern Rhode Island is Napatree Point Conservation Area in Westerly. Napatree Point is a small strip of land completely surrounded by water with Narragansett Bay on one side and Watch Hill Cove on the other. With the picturesque sea side village of Watch Hill behind you, Napatree provides a great backdrop for all kinds of photos. We met Allison and Josh at Olympia Tea Room before the shoot to get to know each other a little bit and grab a drink as well as a quick snack. Once the sun began to slide down the horizon, we kicked off our shoes and took off down the beach taking time to explore both sides on Napatree to take full advantage of the golden hour light. While the sun didn’t make an appearance for long, we all agreed that the moody, hazy, semi overcast light was fitting and paired with the vintage Canon FD Lenses we used for some of the images really added to the overall vibe of the shoot.
