Dublin wedding Bells
What’s better than a destination wedding?? Ringing in 2020 at a destination wedding in Dublin, Ireland with a groovy couple! This year we had the absolute pleasure of photographing the ever so lovely couple Collin and Katrina Van Pelt that we are also lucky to call our dear friends!
The wedding took place at the charming restaurant/venue Wrights Anglers Rest in Dublin, Ireland that is well known for their hearty traditional Irish dishes and beautiful wedding venue.
The wedding consisted of all the aspects one would see at a traditional Irish wedding but with the couple’s own spiritual flare that brought everyone to tears of joy including ourselves! You could just feel that unconditional love radiating between one another and you can see how it spread within the rest of the wedding attendees. The evening consisted of heartfelt speeches from the newly wed’s mothers, sisters, along with the best man, and maid of honor that of course jerked the waterworks and laughter out of everyone.
As the evening turned into night, the heels were traded in for some dancing slippers, and let me tell you…. Those dancing slippers did not leave the dance floor once nor did all the other little dancing feet of the family and friends in attendance. The music kicked off with a darling pair of gentleman playing traditional Irish music which later turned into a DJ throwing out all the bangers one would hear at a wedding. Later interluding into some Irish dancers giving us a show that turned into Katrina and her mother performing their own Irish jig. Which in turn put the rest of Katrina’s family in the mood for some Irish dancing as well. Once everyone had their turn at tapping into their own jig the DJ came back with all the grooves such as a rendition of Living Next Door to Alice by Smoky. So the reason I am chatting so much on the music of the night is because Katrina and Collin have made quite the beautiful career in music. As the night was coming to a close the DJ did not forget to throw on the heartwarming song that the groom wrote for the bride Stay in (Bed With You) by Collin Van Pelt which you can find on Spotify today!
Needless to say this is a wedding we will soon not forget…
